Adult Basic Education offers free English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for all levels of language ability from beginning to advanced. The goals are to increase communication skills and prepare students for employment or continuing education. Students attend the classes that meet their specific needs. The friendly classes focus on the reading, writing, speaking of and listening to the English language in addition to grammar study.

New students are welcome to attend at any time. They complete registration on the first scheduled class day.  ESL students must be:

• At least 16 years old
• Not enrolled in high school
• A person who speaks a first language other than English
