Greetings from Teaching House!
Teaching House will run FREE ENGLISH COURSES in 2013! Join us and practice both your written and your speaking for FREE! The next course begins on June 3rd.
There will be two levels: Pre-Intermediate and Upper-Intermediate and classes will take place in the afternoon, Monday to Friday (1:30-3:30 PM).
You can come to the school in Colony Square (Alliance Francaise) to register, any day, Monday to Friday, beginning on June 3 at 1:15 PM or send us an email at [masked].

Fairview Presbyterian ChurchESL Classes open to any interested internationals in the Augusta/North Augusta area.
  • Classes meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Augusta Korean Methodist Church: Offers an English language program especially for Korean students at all levels. Classes meet at the church, 2641 Barton Chapel Rd., Augusta, GA. Augusta State University: ASU offers developmental English courses designed for non-native English speakers that focus primarily on reading and writing. Students must meet the qualifying TOEFL scores. These courses are eligible for the GHSU Tuition Remission program. ASU also offers online and on-campus continuing education courses through the office of Professional and Community Education. Augusta Technical College: Offers a free English as a Second Language Class through the Adult Education Program. Different levels of profiency are taught, Beginner through Advanced. Class are taught on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings and on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. First Baptist Church of Augusta: Offers a free English language program (levels 1-4) emphasizing listening, speaking, reading and writing skills for interested students, meeting on Wednesday from 9:30 to 11:30 am., in the Adult Education Building, 3500 Walton Way Extension, Augusta, GA.  Books ($22.00) and optional audiotapes are at cost.  From 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, students with basic reading and writing skills can attend Citizenship class, Bible Study, Life Skills class and Basic Computer class.  Contact Tina Lancaster, Mission Secretary, by calling the church office at 706-733-2236 for further details. First Baptist Church of North Augusta: Offers free Conversational English classes for all interested internationals. Classes are currently meeting on Sundays from 9:20 – 10:20 a.m. and Wednesdays from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.  All classes meet in the Elizabeth Strom Education Building, 604 Georgia Ave., North Augusta, SCE-mail Jim Fowke at jfowke@gmail.com for further details. Fleming Baptist Church: offers free English language classes from 1:30 - 4 pm on Mondays at 3027 Peach Orchard Rd., Augusta, GA. Classes follow the school year calendar and meet August through May. True North Church: Offers free ESL classes to any interested internationals in the Augusta area. Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. There will be no classes in June or July. Meets at Helms College in the Goodwill shopping center, 3145 Washington Road, Martinez, GA 30907 (map). Classes are free and you will be able to purchase the book you need (if desired) at the class. Warren Baptist Church of Augusta: Offers a free English language program emphasizing conversational English and grammar for all skill levels from beginner to advanced. Meeting each Sunday in September through May from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Warren Baptist Church, 3203 Washington Rd., Augusta, GA. Park in the rear of the church and enter through the "Welcome Center" entrance, then follow signs for the English/ESL Class.
